A student may obtain this application by:
- Downloading the application;

- Requesting a copy from an academic advisor or the scholarship office at the college or university where the student is pursuing their degree.
Please take a few moments and familiarize yourself with the application and instructions. The cover page of the application contains some important information about other changes to the program. Graduating 2010 high school students have until September 1, 2010 to earn an Associate Degree, however verification of their eligibility for the scholarship must be submitted (postmarked) by October 15, 2010.
Please note that scholarship funding information for the 2010-11 academic year will be available in April 2010. We will be back in touch with you then to share information regarding program changes and the award amount for the next academic year. However, given the state’s budget shortfalls the award amount will most likely be less than 75%. However, we are working with the Governor and the Legislature to evaluate options for the future sustainability of the program.
In addition to applying for this scholarship, we encourage all students to understand and pursue all financial options appropriate to their individual circumstances. Following are specific actions students and their family should consider to maximize their financial preparedness:
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid as early as possible. More information is available at www.fafsa.ed.gov Use student loans wisely after other financial options have been fully explored.
- Contact the financial aid office at the institution you attend to explore other financial resources.
- Seek out and take advantage of all other grants and/or scholarships.
- Consider work study or other employment on or off campus.
